2025 Ontario Masters Provincials Meet Highlights Our BTSC Masters team was back at the Markham Pan Am Centre from April 25-27 for the Masters Provincials swim meet. Alex Blechta, Maks Chaikouski, Kasey O’Grady and Joanna Palermo proudly donned their green Trojan caps for the weekend. They competed against swimmers from 48 other clubs. 2025 Brantford Aquatic Club LC Spring Invitational Highlights BTSC athletes were in Brantford from April 11 -13, 2025 to compete in the Brantford Aquatic Club Long Course Spring Invitational meet. In partnership with USA Swimming, the Canadian Open Water Trials were held in sunny Sarasota, Florida from April 4 to 6, 2025. BTSC swimmers Taira Vroom and Laila Oravsky along with Coach Endi took part in this high-level competition. These trials along with 1500M race times will be used by Swim Canada to select the World Championship team. ESWIM Grand Prix 2025 Meet Highlights After a break in competitions in March for some hard training, our BTSC athletes were back in the pool racing at the ESWIM Grand Prix April 4-6, 2025 in Etobicoke. The BTSC had 77 swimmers competing against swimmers representing 17 other clubs. Trojan Pentathlon 2025 Meet Highlights The BTSC hosted the Trojan Pentathlon over the weekend of Feb. 28 - Mar. 2. It is a unique meet where swimmers compete in 5 events the total time determines the winner. There were over 50 swimmers who were brave enough to compete in the ironman version of the pentathlon, swimming the longer distance events. The Barrie Trojan Swim Club are the Huronia Region champions determined by an exciting weekend of racing at the 2025 Huronia Short Course Regional Championships! Both the girls and boys teams topped the points standings. Bracebridge was the home of the 2025 Huronia Regional Short Course Championships from Feb. 7 to Feb. 9. BTSC had over 40 athletes competing against the Orillia Channel Cats, Collingwood Clippers Swim Club, Peterborough Swim Club, Owen Sound Aquatic Club, Breakers Swim Team, Muskoka Aquatic Club, Lindsay Lightning Bolts and COBRA (Brampton).
