Trojan Pentathlon 2025 Meet Highlights

The BTSC hosted the Trojan Pentathlon over the weekend of Feb. 28 - Mar. 2. It is a unique meet where swimmers compete in 5 events the total time determines the winner. There were over 50 swimmers who were brave enough to compete in the ironman version of the pentathlon, swimming the longer distance events.

Our swimmers raced against competition from the Oakville Aquatic Club, Lakeshore Swim Club, Orillia Channel Cats, the Orangeville Otters and the Goulbourn Sea Hawks. Over the weekend there were 2901 total swims by 331 swimmers.

Below is a summary of the BTSC swimmers who finished top 3 in the various pentathlon categories.

Ironman

12 year old and under

There many personal best times achieved by BTSC swimmers during the weekend. Here are some other highlights and interesting facts from the meet.

One BTSC swimmer swept all of the events in their Pentathlon stream. This was accomplished by Julia Logan for the 16 year old mid-distance where she placed 1st in the 100M butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle and 200M IM. She also won each of her pentathlon streams, a total of 15 races. Namid Khan also won all 3 of his pentathlon streams.

Cole Harrison had best times in all 15 of his events.
Minje Lee swam best times in all 10 of his events.
Lyla Snell went 9 for 9 best time in her races.
Sophie Bowen, Brooklynnne Buckingham, Esther Kim, and Leah Martin had best times in 14 out of 15 events.
