Two Canadians took a step on the road to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games as Swimming Canada hosted the first-ever Canadian Open Water Festival Saturday and Sunday in Welland, Ontario. BTSC's Laila Oravsky won the 10-kilometre race. The wins earns Laila a spot on Team Canada for the Doha 2024 World Aquatics Championships, which will serve as the final qualifier for Paris 2024.
